By wri-

many RET
and minus-
chars and
balancing
the text
this way
by my-
self.
Using the p{width} specification creates a parbox in the table in
which TeX can hyphenate. This option is also allowed in longtable. To
me it's not clear whether other options of the array package are
allowed too, and what supertabular accepts ...
