[OS X TeX] Can't write on file xxx.aux

Directory and style sheet from one ~/Library/texmf to the other. Nothing 
else. Checked permissions.

Sorry, not true, just found a counter example: there exists an xxx that 
I can typeset.

Have to go. Taking PowerBook with me. Will report Tuesday.
