[OS X TeX] Should I install X11 ?

I have not been able to use the regular Apple fonts in the CVS X11 version
of emacs, namely: GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (i386-apple-darwin8.6.1, X toolkit) of
2006-06-20. Have you figured that out?
Without that, I prefer the Carbon Emacs version at
<http://homepage.mac.com/zenitani/emacs-e.html>.
