As I supposed yesterday, LM is a CM substitute only in text mode:
\renewcommand{\rmdefault}{lmr}
\renewcommand{\sfdefault}{lmss}
\renewcommand{\ttdefault}{lmtt}
Fourier.sty is almost 15K and re-defines maths for TeX.

v15-12-02-2005.sit is the archive with Fourier fonts for Mac.

Instead of PfaEdit use FontForge – that's PfaEdit's new name. A set
of Utopia in TrueType: http://www.erik.co.uk/font/serif/
UtopiaTrueType.sit.bin, although not usable in XeTeX, I think
