Howdy,
Not at all sure but I'd guess that something in the Update (they vary
from system to system --- that's why I wondered if you were using an
Intel system) removed the original /etc/profile that got set by the
CLI configuration in the install process. Hopefully your path now
also has /usr/local/bin/ if you've got to use ghostscript.
Was everything set correctly in TeXShop (don't know how that could
have changed)? How about the existence of pdflatex in the correct
location?
