[OS X TeX] Duplicate fontmaps

Hi, I've been trying to switch over from a fink distribution of teTeX
to Gerben's i-installer version. I am getting the following
warnings, which I think have been caused by my overzealous use of the
font enabling configuration in i-installer. (My fink distribution has
been totally removed.)
Warning: /usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current/pdflatex (file /usr/
local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/fonts/map/pdftex/updmap/pdftex.map): fontmap entr
y for `mtex' already exists, duplicates ignored
Warning: /usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current/pdflatex (file /usr/
local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/fonts/map/pdftex/updmap/pdftex.map): fontmap entr
y for `mtsy' already exists, duplicates ignored

I think this is because I have activated two maps for the same font,
but I don't know how to figure out which map to deactivate, based on
the warning.
There are three maps that contain 'mt' in them: mt-belleek, mt-yy
and mt-plus. Should I be disabling one or more of these? If so,
which ones, and why?
On a related note, I had to manually enable the map for tipa; the
default configuration doesn't seem to use the Type1 version of it,
and when you run configure fonts from i-installer tipa didn't show up
until I manually added the map using updmap. Is this the regular
behaviour of i-installer, or is this something that should be fixed
in it?
Thanks
Alan
