OK, this is intentional.

It seems the question mark is missing, you just get a left and right
side of the button.

You'd hope so, but apparently that is not the case.

I knew I forgot to test something. I'll report back. I assume you
have (somewhat) easy access to 10.3 and 10.4, so I will not test
those systems right now, unless you ask me to.
