Resetting the i-Package to its default properties (not the app but
the package) may help. There are situations possible where saved
settings for packages (e.g. what parts you want to install) mess
around with your installation. So, if you installed gwTeX parts in
the past this is saved. Later, when you choose expert install, you
will get your previous choice presented to you.

But as id's change and the program evolves, combinations which do not
work properly have been spotted. E.g. an older version of the program
with a newer version of the package and some setting from the past.

Resetting your package to default properties is always a good thing
to try. After all, if pdftricks.sty is not there, i-Installer must
not have installed the gwTeX extensions. And the scenario above is a
possible way this could happen.
