Sorry it's a new mistake :
TEXINPUTS.pdflatex = .;$HOME/Work/Base;$TEXMF/{pdftex,tex}/
{latex,generic,}//

This don't work but
cd Library/texmf/tex/
ln -s /Users/ego/Work Work
works fine !

But i would like to understand the problem with texmf.cnf.
locate texmf.cnf
...
/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.gwtex/texmf.cnf.gwtex.tl2003
/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.gwtex/texmf.cnf.gwtex.tl2004
...etc
Why this files ?
