These problems seemed to occur because the poster used the fonts with  
a "traditional" Unix-flavored TeX install, ie using a DVI-based  
viewer such as xdvi or macdvix. I wouldn't expect the same problems  
with gwTeX and TeXShop, LaTeXiT, etc.
