Actually the following would be better:
/Users/<yourname>/Library/texmf/fonts/afm/wolfram
/Users/<yourname>/Library/texmf/fonts/type1/wolfram
/Users/<yourname>/Library/texmf/fonts/tfm/wolfram
and <yourname> means your account login, such that /Users/<yourname> is
in fact ~, that is your home directory. As for the capitalisation of
AFM and Type1 in your original post, I'm realizing you just copied the
names from inside the Mathematica application: they do work for
Mathematica, but not for TeX.
