[OS X TeX] First Version of DropPgn2Ltx

Howdy,

I have a first version of a Dropscript for converting .pgn files (they must
have UNIX line endings) to .tex files. The Dropscript can be placed anywhere
convenient and multiple .pgn files can be simply be dropped on it to produce
the .tex files. Although the .pgn file names (and generated .tex files) can
have spaces in them, remember that LaTeX doesn't like spaces in file names
when you compile them.

To compile the file use the ``Mac skaknew'' distribution of the SkakNew
fonts and the skak package (called skaknew) that has been changed to use
those fonts. You only need the ``Mac skaknew'' fonts and package if you want
to compile the generated .tex file but what is the point if you don't?

These distributions are available as ``Pgn2Ltx.sit'' and ``Mac skaknew.sit''
at <http://homepage.mac.com/herbs2/>.

Late last night (early this morning?) I realized that I need to do a better
job of protecting paths and file names with double quotes to allow for
folder/file names with spaces. Where have I run into that before!?

Now I've got to find out more about defining function in shell scripts so I
can set up a ~/Library/Application Support/DropPgn2Ltx/ directory to make
the output format(s) easily configurable.

Good Luck,

Herb Schulz
