When you simplified a file's too complicated name by changing
characters you can't open this file because an object with this name
does not exist. So you have to transform the names of files (after a
directory lookup) in the same way and check if any transformed names
match. I used 'grep', because that's the programme's name on the
command line that can find whether something matches.
