[OS X TeX] Font problem

I open in Illustrator a pdf page created in TeXShop. It comes out  
really bad. I assume this is well known. What can I do?

I am beginning to understand. Apparently, two fonts are missing and  
are substituted: NimbusMonL and NimbusRomNo9L. Where did these comes  
from? Why are they used?
