[OS X TeX] Two BibTeX questions

Howdy,
When you say ``proper directory'' do you mean a sub-directory of
.../texmf.local/ or ~/Library/texmf/? If you are copying into any other
texmf.*/ it can get wiped out with an update. If you are copying into
.../texmf.local/... Then you've got to run `sudo mktexlsr' in Terminal to
rebuild the hash files so that TeX can find the files quickly.
