In my first email, I mentioned that I installed Times New Roman.  I
also used microtype with the new fonts and it just worked.  The
resulting pdf had all sorts of TNR-extended fonts embedded in it.  You
may be able to just use a different map file that points to uhv, to get 
things to work.
