[OS X TeX] .sty

Well I have my working TeX. This was installed from TeXLive 2003 with 
much help from Maarten and a lot of others here on the list. Many 
thanks to one and all.

I have another question and I hope the answer is easier than the last.

How and where do I put MY .sty files so latex can find them.? We are 
talking about TeX not teTeX.

Why do I see my life flashing before my eyes?

I tried ~/library/texmf...

No go.
