[OS X TeX] teTeX does not run on OS X

I imagine Gerben has asked you this but have you
installed anything from Fink ?   Anything else UNIXy ?

Can you post the error here ?  Maybe also  open up Terminal (in 
Applications/Utilities) and do

more /var/log/TeXGSInstaller.log

If there are any errors in there can you cut and paste them into an
