I just decided to create the directories and the file in question,
which seemed to work (at least with the installer). I suppose I need
to logout and back in to get it to register (I hope!).
Can someone out there explain (or point me somewhere that does so well)
in simple terms how environment variables work? I installed
RCEnvironment--which puts a nice little preferences item in the
preference panel--in the hopes that it would make this all easier, but
I still don't quite get it.

I need to install some fonts, but the script I want to use relies on
afm2tfm and kpsewhich. Because neither can found, the script just
won't work. I could always manually use afm2tfm and such, and specify
the full path, but that doesn't seem like fun!
