hypatia:~ axretif$ cd /usr/texbin
hypatia:texbin axretif$ /bin/pwd
/usr/texbin

But here is another way: while

	ls -l /usr/texbin

outputs

lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 63 Oct 28 21:28 /usr/texbin -> ../Library/TeX/Distributions/.DefaultTeX/Contents/Programs/i386

	ls -l /usr/texbin/

gives

lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 61 Sep 13 14:29 /usr/texbin/ -> ../../../../../../../usr/local/texlive/2010/bin/x86_64-darwin

Yes, that might be the case. Anyway, I think Schulz and Dyballa's advice is the best thing ---if you're using ``sudo updmap-sys'', put your fonts and related files in the system-wide directory /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local.

Best regards
