I'm sorry, I was thinking it would show us where /usr/texbin symlink
target pointed in turn, but that was wrong.  Here is a better way:

cd /usr/texbin
/bin/pwd

    Just /Users/axretif/Library/texlive/

In other words, your personal $HOME is being propagated to the sudo
environment.  I was thinking that might not be the case for Lori.
