FWIW, I think this is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.  10pt Lucida
is too big is more like 11/12pt of anything else.  I routinely typeset
documents in 9pt Lucida.

It looks like there is a [lucidasmallscale] option to lucidabr.sty to do
something close to that.  I admit I've never tried it.

Implementing the scaled= option which other font styles support would be
nice.  Morten ... ?
