Why not? You have here some lua output not really meant for simple
tex printing. Why do you expect it to be adapted for it? 

If you want a change: the lualibs code is from context, so you would
have to ask there.

It does for me. Don't forget that a current lualatex uses a
different font which doesn't have an omega at char10.
