On p. 8 3.1 Document class options of latex2e.pdf, the text reads " One way to do that is to put \pdfpagewidth=\paperwidth and
\pdfpageheight=\paperheight in your document’s preamble." However, that is engine dependent and produces an error on luatex. The text should not engine dependencies, and should note that the geometry package handles those dependencies automatically.
