Hello Karl,

I am trying to propagate your r1083 in which the piece of material in
Subject is found, it was modified from the original « When reading input
@TeX{} converts the sequences of read characters into » in r1082. Your
change is « the sequences » → « sequences ».

I cannot understand why this is « sequences », not « the
sequence ». IMHO there is a single sequence read, and the text should
« When reading input @TeX{} converts _the sequence_ of read characters
into a » (w/o the _…_ emphasis). This is how I intend to phrase it in
French (and as you know, for the long common history between France and
England, there are so many things that just translate word for word).

Please confirm I can make this change, and so I'll picky back it on my
next edit on latex2e.texi.
