this looks wrong to me. There is no lthooks package and the fact that we 
still have lthooks-doc and the like is temporary

do we really want to specify the .dtx file name here instead of always 
saying "latex" or "latex2e" or "kernel" or something?

it seems sensible to me that all prefixes we use in the (2e) format have 
the same "source"

opinions?
