[l2h] \refname change affects the latex but not latex2html output bibliography [amsart]

Hi,

a Debian user reported the following:

Consider the following LaTeX code (typeset with amsart):
	\def\refname{List of publications}
	\begin{thebibliography}{X}
	\bibitem{thesis}
	...
	\end{thebibliography}

This will produce the bibliography with the "List of publications"
section heading instead of the standard "References" when using LaTeX,
but will be ignored by latex2html.

(The above is a real example taken from a C.V., where the bibliography
is (ab-?)used to list one's own publications).

I also wonder if there's a way to force latex2html to render the
bibliography with the brackets around the produced DT contents?
This, however, is just a minor layouting problem that seems less
significant.

I could reproduce both problems and would like to hear other opinions
regarding this.
