Well, this is it. 

I have made a successfull recommended installation from
the web. So the current procedure is :

- either to download everything from ftp://ftp.dante.de/pub/fptex/0.6
using the getfptex.bat script found there, the run TeXSetup.exe

- or download and run :
ftp://ftp.dante.de/pub/fptex/0.6/TeXSetup.exe
and let TeXSetup retrieve the packages from the Internet. 

I'd like to hear a couple of reports before announcing it more widely.

This version is strictly what you will find on TL7. So you may want to
download the ISO image instead.
