When I use this new metapost with
input graph, it does not work.

On this file test.mp :

input graph
beginfig(1)
draw (0,u)--(0,0)--(u,0)
endfig;
end

I obtain the log file :

D:\DocTex>C:\Progra~1\TeXLive\bin\win32\mpost   --tex=latex  test.mp
This is MetaPost, Version 0.641 (Web2c 7.3.7)
(test.mp (c:/Program Files/TeXLive/texmf/metapost/base/graph.mp
(c:/Program Files/TeXLive/texmf/metapost/base/marith.mp
(c:/Program Files/TeXLive/texmf/metapost/base/string.mp))
(c:/Program Files/TeXLive/texmf/metapost/base/format.mp
(c:/Program Files/TeXLive/texmf/metapost/base/string.mp)
(c:/Program
Files/TeXLive/texmf/metapost/base/texnum.mpC:\PROGRA~1\TEXLIVE\bin\w
in32\makempx.exe: Extra argument texnum.mpx.
Try `makempx.exe --help' for more information.

>> c:/Program Files/TeXLive/texmf/metapost/base/texnum.mp
>> texnum.mpx
! Unable to make mpx file.

and you can verify  that
metapost works fine on this file :

% input graph ( bad line !!??)
beginfig(1)
draw (0,u)--(0,0)--(u,0)
endfig;
end
