[fptex] ver 0.5 install problems - could not undump

Looks like you have a corrupt latex.fmt.  You did remake it under 0.5?
(Actually, 0.5 is several months old, and I suggest you update the latex
sources before remaking.)

And everywhere else that kpsewhich runs!  You need a space or = in there,
and perhaps to escape $, depending on your shell.  (Yes, one can run
decent shells on Windows: I use tcsh.)  E.g.
