Multiline fields in tables

Hello, I'm new in Latex, well I have been woring for a long time with it,
but I don't have much experience.
Here are my questions, hope anybody can help me with these.
I want to make a table, but some filed are to long, how can I make to split
one column into many lines, but not spanning accross multiple columns.
Another thing is how can I make a the font in the table smaller?
