Font problem

Hi,

I have some thing like

\begin{slide}
\begin{scriptsize}
...
\end{scriptsize}
\end{slide}

and when I proces the document using fptex I get

Am I missing some fonts in the fptex installation? How do I get it to use a 
smaller font?
