seting WinEdt for correcting LaTeX errors (sorry again)

Sorry to be here posting this problem again, but I have not sorted my
problem out yet and now I am back on WinEdt.

Some time ago I wrote:

"Which is the file to edit to tell LaTeX to switch to "WinEdt" when the
command "e" is given in repsonse to an error? By default the editor is
Notepad."

And I received this reply from Brian Stewart:

>following to the end of the file texmf.cnf

>TEXEDIT=pfe32/g%d  %s
>MFEDIT=pfe32/g%d  %s

Thus I have adapted these definitions for WinEdt, as suggested for the
MiKTeX distribution:

TEXEDIT=C:\Progra~1\WinEdt\WinEdt.exe "[Open('%f');SelLine(%l,7)]"
MFEDIT=C:\Progra~1\WinEdt\WinEdt.exe "[Open('%f');SelLine(%l,7)]"

Now LaTeX effectively switches to WinEdt but I have got a WinEdt error
message:

' Expected
[Open('1,7)]

Has anyone had and sorted this problem?

Thanks

Massimo
