dvips default behaviour

FYI: the DJGPP port of `dvips' does that from day one: if there's no 
lpr.exe in sight (read: along the PATH), it writes to "PRN" instead of 
piping to `lpr'.  This way, only those who have `lpr' installed (and 
hopefully, correctly configured) will ever need to mess with this issue.

FWIW, I have never seen any complaints about that feature.
