Some of you have already retrieved the following:

ftp://ftp.ese-metz.fr/pub/tex/win32-beta/fptex-0.3b    

but the install script is not yet tested. Actually I have found a few bugs
in it. Some important things have changed, after some 
inetersting reports and suggestions. The script will be debugged
over the week-end and only the setup.ins file is to be changed. 

News :

- newest texmf from Thomas Esser,
- some bugs removed in xdvi (palette messed up for 8bit colors, 
  some null pointers -> gpf)
- updated mktex.dll wrt to latest mktex* scripts
- texhash.exe couldn't run

Install script behaves somewhat differently :

- PATH is added in the following way for win9x :
set FPTEX=c:\TeX
set PATH=%FPTEX%\bin\win32;%PATH%
- local texmf tree is enforced, so that the main distribution is 
left unchanged.
