I can't reply extensively from this small telnet session, but some of you might have heard about a recent patch to teTeX that broke pdftex. Seems that I generated windvi.pdf while working on this patch :-( I will correct the most imediate things reported and release windvi again, and fptex as soon as I get a basic installer.
