[Fontinst] configuring for special font

Hi All,

I am writing a linguistic thesis about an Asian language.  I have a font for
the phonetics, which includes tone numbers which are superscripted numbers.
Its a true type font.  In the fontinstall guide, I couldn't find
instructions on using a true type font.  Could anyone offer me any help?

I'd be using it for examples and such, so I could use it as a symbol font as
well.
