[dviout] unusual chars in dviout filenames

Hi,

The dviout package package contains two files with unusual characters in
the names:
  dviout/PTEX/naochan!.tex
  dviout/UTILITY/dvi$pdf.bat

Evidently it all works and always has, but it still makes me nervous.
Would anything harmful come from renaming those files?  (But simply
"dvipdf.bat" would not be a good name, since there several other scripts
by that names floating around.  Maybe dvi-to-pdf-for-dviout ...)

It's not super critical or anything, but I thought I'd ask.
