This is correct. The problem was, pdfinfo said "pdftex", while
Sanchit mentioned an error message about unrecognized bounding box -
something which happens when you use tex in dvi mode. So I assumed
his toolchain somehow mangled the metadata. Only later Sanchit told
he first run latex, and then pdflatex.
