David's install script is suspiciously close to one I wrote ;)

To get it 'right' (adding single extra packages to a scheme) I have a 
local VM I can test on. That approach works well if you can be *sure* of 
the list of packages you want: I start from minimal and add them on by 
hand with a long "tlmgr install ..." list. It depends though on the 
balance of effort versus install size: some packages do get moved 
around, not necessarily due to decisions made by the TL team.
