Can't help personally: wrong continent and I'm only a TeX amateur.  But 
I would observe, after a career spent in IT, that "hundreds" of error 
messages in something that was known to work is usually an easier 
problem to solve than dozens, or even two.

When you have hundreds of errors you often have the same error in 
hundreds of different places, and fixing that one error (maybe, in your 
case, finding the relevant font definition) makes all the messages go 
away in one go.

If all else fails, maybe you could post just a sample of your hundreds 
of messages here and see whether one of the clever group members could 
suggest what to do.
