Congratulations! Some aspects might seem a little bit hard at the 
beginning, but I'm sure you'll find the effort worthwhile.

It would be convenient to know which operating system you're using, so 
people can recommend a suitable editor for your platform.

Also, is important to know if you already have a TeX distribution 
installed on your machine, like TeXLive, for example.
