[texhax] footnote on 2 pages

Sometimes when you typeset a footnote (say your footnotes consists of 4
lines), the first two lines of the footnote are typeset in the current page
(where \footnote was used) and the next two lines of footnotes are typeset
on the next page. What I want is that in this situation, at the end of
current page (at the end of the second line of the footnote, ----> will be
printed) and on the second page (at the beginning of the third line of the
footnote another ----> will be printed). Thus the reader knows that the
footnote on current page continues on the next page. Do you know any
package that does this?
