The message above comes from updmap. It means that updmap doesn't
run texhash itself. You can ignore this message. Search for
"running mktexlsr" in the log file. texhash is just another name for
mktexlsr.
You'll see in the log that mktexlsr is run before updmap. Otherwise
updmap would complain loudly if it can't find the files.
