Sure it is. I usually prefer the paralist package which allows the
following:
\documentclass{scrartcl}
\usepackage[]{paralist}
\begin{document}
\begin{compactitem}[$\Rightarrow$]
\item a
\item b
\item c
\end{compactitem}
You could use also the following:
\begin{itemize}
\item [a] dfsgfd
\item [b] dfdsf
\item [c] rztrzr
\end{itemize}
\end{document}
