What do you get if you run
dvips --> ps2pdf --> pdfinfo
? It's not unlikely that Yap is the culprit because papersize
information is passed to the printer driver in PostScript code and
maybe Yap's DVI parser isn't smart enough.
If you are interested in the details, please consult the dvips manual.
