Unfortunately pdfpages have their limitations:

If we include pdf file into a larger file produced by LaTeX,
hyperlinks (in/external), bookmarks, comments, attachments are gone

Sure attachfile, attachfile2, embedfile are free from this restriction
but the included files are attachments (of different kinds).

Also one can produce pdf from the LaTeX file and then use pdftk, gs or
AA to insert pdf-file. However it would be nice to have pdfpages
capable to do the same - even if on the background pdftk or gs are
used via shell-escape.
