Thanks but this is not quite what I was looking for. The length (i.e. pt)
should be variable and in addition "to" also should be variable, as an
example \hboxR spread 5pt{This is a test}
So it can take 3 arguments, which the first two can be optional.
For example, I want to define one single \hboxR amcro, such that with that
definition I can have
\hboxR{This is a test.}
\hboxR to 10cm{This is a test}
\hboxR to 3pt{This is a test.}
\hboxR spread 5pt{This is a test.}
\hboxR spread 6cm{This is a test.}
