If you've never used it before it takes a little getting used to but it 
is time well spent and will save you oodles of time in the end. And then 
once you get used to using Emacs, you begin to realize how useful it is 
for just about anything!

Hear, hear!!  And if you have the time to learn how to use Emacs macros, 
you will wonder how you ever managed without them.
