[texhax] Do not symlink when installing TeXLive 2008 on K/Ubuntu Intrepid or Debian systems

Thank you, Chandra; it certainly has curtailed the head scratching and
searching for answers.  Can you tell me what to do to remove the
symlinks?  And do I export paths in both .profile and .bashrc?
